Law Allows Seismic Exploration in National Park
1 Jun 2005
There are snowy-white beaches, sparkling blue waters, fertile coastal marshes, and dense maritime forests.... and soon, seismic thumpers for scouting out the oil reserves beneath the azure waves. Public Law No: 109-13, signed by the Bush last week as part of an emergency appropriations bill to fight terrorism, opens up Gulf Islands National Seashore to oil and gas exploration.
Is it as clear to you as it is to me how opening up national parks for mineral exploration fits in with the overall plan of bringing democracy and peace to the world? You know, Texas style?
