Creationism in the National Parks
12 Jan 2004
My dad told me about this, and it seemed too strange not to be true. Apparently, the Hopi are not the only religious conservatives trying to control interpretation at National Parks. The Christian conservatives are also taking it upon themselves to select inventory and even edit interpretive videos. "What's next," joked my dad,"a sign at the Grand Canyon claiming it's 2000 years old?" Ha ha.
--note from 2006: can't believe that I thought this was a joke. You know, they got their sign.
