Speak up- Ken Salazar is Listening!

Recently I had the honor of attending a couple of events to move forward initiatives to re-connect children with nature. The first, a listening session for the America's Great Outdoors initiative, was hosted by the Depts of Interiors & Agriculture, and is intended to get the dialogue going on stewardship of public and private lands, and how to get our kids involved and enthused about caring for our lands... LOTS of great ideas were shared (and a few nutty ones!) from planting school gardens to reducing the hoops that service groups, ranchers, and other land users have to go through to get kids outside. Of course, my contribution was reminding those present that playing outside is all about FUN.
